Will artificial intelligence be something that humans depend on or will it be one of humanity's biggest achievements? As days go on, technology continues to advance, artificial intelligence is becoming more and more integrated into our lives often more than we realize. 

        Artificial intelligence is used as chat bots for enterprise websites to assist users into solving their issues, it can also assist in major areas such as healthcare analyzing medical images and predicting results or in the retail field it can assist customers in product recommendations increasing sales for certain businesses, or in robotics artificial intelligence could be used to program drones or autonomous machines to do certain tasks. 

        While the advancements are impressive, if the wrong people take advantage of artificial intelligence things could go wrong. The same way that artificial intelligence can be used to do the right things, artificial intelligence can be used to do the wrong things. It has the chance to raise scam's that appear to be legit, it can be used to spread misinformation, be involved in cyberattacks or to generate videos that appear and sound realistic and even take jobs away from people. On April 15, a news letter posted on yahoo finance announced that the company Snapchat laid off a thousand of its workers due to the "rapid advancements" of AI. 

        Personally, I believe artificial intelligence should be used more so of a tool rather than a piece of technology that should be used to take advantage of certain things. I love using artificial intelligence to look up what something is, or if I don't understand a certain things, I could use it to simplify it for me so that It's much easier to understand or it could even give me ideas to such things. It can also help me brainstorm ideas, organize my thoughts. However, it can give quick information artifical intelligence isn't always accurate so I think its a good idea to verify the information using other sources.

        I decided to write about this topic because artificial intelligence is something that people hear about almost every day, yet many people—including myself—are still learning how powerful it really is. Writing this article gave me the opportunity to think about both the positive and negative sides of AI instead of only focusing on one perspective. As I continue learning about cybersecurity and technology, I’m sure my understanding of artificial intelligence will continue to grow. Artificial intelligence has already began changing the world.
